Internal Control System (ICS) — implementation and certification for trade in strategic goods
The Internal Control System — known in Poland by its abbreviation WSK — is mandatory for companies trading in goods of strategic importance to national security. REACTUS provides comprehensive support in designing, implementing and certifying an ICS in line with the Polish Act on foreign trade in goods, technologies and services of strategic importance.
What the ICS is and who it applies to
The Internal Control System (WSK) is a documented organisational framework ensuring that trade in strategic goods — both military equipment and dual-use items — complies with Polish law, EU law and international control regimes. Holding a certified ICS is a precondition for obtaining global and general authorisations for foreign trade.
The ICS certificate is official confirmation that the company has implemented the security procedures required to lawfully trade in armaments and in dual-use goods and technologies. The certificate is essential for businesses taking part in international transactions of strategic significance.
